ACAI BERRY: THE BEST SUPERFOOD IN THE WORLD TODAY

Acai berry (correctly pronouAcai berry is known as the best super food in the world todaynced A-sigh-ee) is a small, rounded purple fruit from the berries family and prominently grows in the Amazon rainforest of Brazil. The amazing fruit, which is known today as the best super food in the world, contains tremendous health benefits with its almost perfect balanced nutritional properties. However, this fruit cannot be exported because it is highly perishable and even recommended to consume right away after plucking so  Brazilian manufacturers made it freeze dried and powdered to be transported to a high quality controlled production manufacturing food supplements. The supplements, in return, come in many varities:juice, capsules, smoothies and tablets. But according to consumers’ testimonies, the best of these varities are Extreme Acai berry capsules and Mona vie acai juice, these products are made from 100% natural ingredients of Acai fruit.

Extreme Acai berry is more potent than any other supplements that exist in the market today, it contains high amount of fibers which effectively flushed out toxin and waste substances from digestive tract and large intestine. It helps control weight gains and protect the system from possible chronic disorders like colon cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. Acai berry contains anthocyanin, an antioxidant which has flavonoids and polyphenols content naturally found in plants and other fruits.

The powerful supplement is already featured in several credible shows like Today of CNN and Oprah Winfrey Show. Mona vie juice helps detoxify the body while retaining its essential nutrients providing a stronger stamina and mental focus. This is even praised as more potent than Goji juice and mangosteen juice because of acai berry ingredients, it also has a mixture of pomegranate, a wild fruit which contains high antioxidants that fight premature aging and cell deterioration.

Prestigious American broadsheets like The Wall Street Journal and the New York times are making great reviews regarding the goodness of Acai. American dermatologist and best-selling author Dr. Nicholas Perricone listed Acai berry as the number one food in the world today with respect  to  nutrition.

It has good amount of trace minerals which the human body greatly needed as daily food intake could not sufficiently provide the adequate body requirements of vitamins and minerals. Its powerful antioxidant content-Anthocyanin is 30 times stronger than one found in red grapes. It helps lower bad cholesterol, maintain normal blood circulation and prevent blood clotting. Clinical study of the University of Florida shows that Acai contains natural substances that alleviate cancer cells. It contains higher ORAC (ORAC, stands for Oxygen radical absorption capacity, this is a test developed by the Department of Agriculture in the United states to help determe the antioxidant measurement and its potency in foods) value than any other fruits.

Acai works both as Detox internal body cleanser and energy booster, some health benefits are the following:

KNOW YOUR MAN’S SUPERHERO CHARACTER

Why most men are fascinated with superheroes?according to an article from cosmopolitan magazine- may be because they saw some reflections of their personalities with those fictional cartoon characters. Find out below who they worshipped and how their character spikes behind those magnificent costumes.

SUPERMAN
Let’s buckle up and fly!..If your boyfriend’s favorite superhero is Superman, he is the quintessential “nice guy” — he’s loyal, believes that people are inherently good, and is always ready to save the day. A guy who digs the Man of Steel usually has the same traits. So, while you may not need your man to save you from a burning building, he’ll love it if you ask for his advice or help in mini-crisis — whether it’s changing a flat or settling you down after a fight with a pal. In other words? Score! But his desire to rescue people might not stop with you. He’s the type to fill his days helping his mom and doing favors for friends. If you feel like his time is monopolized by being a little too good to others, just pipe up and he’ll be responsive.

BATMAN
Batman — aka Bruce Wayne — drives a badass car, dates supermodels, is rolling in dough and terribly irresistible with those black, amazing cape. So, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why he appeals to your dude. But the Caped Crusader also has a darker side — his parents were killed by criminals, and that’s why he has set out to fight the bad guys. Batman avoids getting close to most people and is sort of a loner. So, your guy may share his dangerously dashing appeal, but you may also have to work a little harder to get him to open up. Some guys are really not easily to open up, it leaves you wondering how he feels, what he is thinking and what’s the damn truth.

THE HULK
This superhero goes from the quiet, reserved Bruce Banner to the big, green Hulk whenever he gets pissed off. Scary, right? But no worries; this character means well, he just lets his feelings overwhelm him. A guy who tells you that The Hulk is his favorite is likely to be the type who gets caught up in emotions and may even have the occasional outburst. Here’s the bright side: You’ll never have to guess how he feels. That said, if you do sense him getting worked up, it may be best to give him some space until he calms down or figures out his emotions.

FASTEST WAY OF CURING ACNE AND PIMPLE

Acne and pimples are the most irritating skin problems of the youth today, even adults are not spared from acquiring these frustrating outbreaks. Here are some tips to get rid of those pestering bacteria faster.

WASH YOUR FACE

One of the most effective regimen in treating acne starts with washing your face, use mild soap with no irritating perfume and ingredients. Ivory mild soap and carrot based soap are just some of the best choices since they effectively eliminate excess oil in the skin surface.

BENZOL PEROXIDE AND SALICYLIC ACID

Buy products with ingredients like Benzol Peroxide and Salicylic acid; they kill bacteria-causing acne and pimples faster. After washing your face with mild soap, pat it dry and apply a pea size of the product with the above-mentioned ingredients around the affected area. Ideal application is during night time to have a more relax texture. The swelling will dry out the following morning and you are pimple free.

AVOID TOO MUCH SUN EXPOSURE

Even if you have no skin outbreaks, too much exposure to the sun is not a good idea because it can cause premature aging. The harshness of UV rays can trigger dryness of the skin making it prone to outbreaks. Protect yourself by applying sun block with SPF 20 and with green tea special ingredients. Green tea is anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial; it protects skin from pollution and damages.

EAT PLENTY OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

It is now a universal rule to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables because of various health benefits it contains. They are loaded with essential vitamins and minerals necessary for cleansing and detoxifying our body. Eat foods rich in fibers, beta-carotene, collagen, vitamin B-complex and amino fatty acids, they are good in fighting free-radicals and inflammation.

TAKE FOOD SUPPLEMENTS

Vitamin A supplement is known to quickly renew skin cells leaving it free from inflammation, therefore giving you free from bacteria attack, Vitamin C is the supplier of collagen in the body, responsible for maintaining skin elasticity making it looks younger and smoother. Glutathione supplement is not only ideal for those who dream to whiten their skin but also to those who have facial problems like acne and pimple. Glutathione is a master antioxidant and central detoxifier that cleanse digestive tract making it toxic-free.

AVOID JUNK AND FATTY FOODS

Fatty foods are those saturated fats that build up bad cholesterol and harmful elements that may result to chronic diseases in the future. It also makes skin oily and worn out.

DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND SLEEP WELL

Drink plenty of water everyday to flush out bacteria-causing germs. In the absence of water intake the skin is more prone to dryness and greasiness causing inflammation and other irritations which may result to pimples and acne. Lack of sleep often makes the skin dry and rough which lead to outbreaks, try to take a habit of getting enough sleep to give your skin enough rest.

APPLY HOME MADE RECIPES INSTEAD OF COMMERCIAL

Try this beauty tips at home: 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 kalamansi juice, small amount of cinnamon powder and half mashed banana. Mixed all the ingredients until became fluffy. Wash your face with lukewarm water then pat dry, apply the mixture and leave it for 1 hour, then wash with cold water. Your skin became smooth, pimple free and young looking.

SECRET TO A BEAUTIFUL, YOUNG-LOOKING SKIN

Having beautiful skin gives us enough freshness and youthful glow, like sweet-scented flowers in the orchard

Having beautiful skin is like fresh and sweet-scented flowers in the orchard

Women generally are beauty conscious and vain, we spent enormous amount of time looking at the mirror, checking those sagging features and other unwanted adds-on “sign of progress”. Sometimes it horrifies us to see those irritating warts and lines slowly appearing in our precious skin, dark spots and other form of blemishes only add up to frustrations.

But before we began to freak wildly for these exasperating skin enemies and scampered on beauty products, we must first double check our lifestyle. Our physical appearance partly depends on what we dump in our stomach, greasy and fatty foods are often the culprit of rough and unwanted skin tones. We must bear in mind that unhealthy lifestyle contributed more to premature aging, forcing our body to accumulate free radicals. In addition, drinking alcohol, according to many health professionals, can triggers body cell deterioration, so it must be avoided. To protect our body cells and maintain those youthful glow, here are some practical tips to consider.

1. Limit sun exposure– this can badly damage the elasticity of the skin. UV rays can caused skin irritations and wrinkles. When engaging in outdoor activities, try to cover yourself by wearing long brimmed hat, longsleeves and scarf. Don’t forget to apply sunblock with SPF 20+ for additional skin protection.

2. Get plenty of rest and sleep– our body needs enough rest to relax our tired muscles, various health bulletin already warned the public that lack of sleep and rest can lead to deterioration of body cells. If we don’t have enough sleep, dark circles around eyes are visible making us look old and worn out.

3. Get some body stretching and mild exercise-mild exercise doesn’t requires you to rush to the nearest gym for a rigorous work out, walking and jogging are enough formula to stretch tired muscles. Climbing up stairs is more ideal than going up with elevators or escalators. Stretch your arms and feet when waking up in the morning before making a trip to the bathroom.

4. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and drink a lot of water-fruits and vegetables are very ideal to maintain supple and smooth skin. Vegetables and fruits moderate weight gain in the body, plus they are loaded with vitamins and minerals that can be easily absorbed, preventing clogs in the digestive system and allows regular blood flow. Fiber rich foods help the body removed toxic and other waste materials including unwanted calories. These can help the skin visibly radiant. Drink plenty of water to flush off bacteria and retain the skin’s natural moisture.

5. Take antioxidants, especially Lycopene-Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant which helps the skin fights premature aging. According to some studies conducted, it is twice stronger than beta-carotene and ten times stronger than vitamin E. It also plays a vital role in protecting the skin against damages from the sun. It is being said that unsalted Tomato puree has abundant content of Lycopene, other sources include, grapefruit, guava, water melon and fresh tomato.

6. Eating habits and home made remedies-try this at home, boil 2 peeled carrots and potatoes and make it as your snacks instead of junk foods. Try mixing banana, honey and fresh milk and use it as body scrub and facial scrub, with weekly application, your body and face will have an even skin tone and look smoother and younger. Avoid too much soft drinks, it will only dries up your skin. Important note:according to a health home magazine, cola drink and coffee which are categorized as caffeinated beverages, can block the absorption of Folate-a B vitamin group necessary for renewal of skin cells. Folate is also recommended for women who are in the childbearing stage because this helps prevent birth deffects. But most of all, stay positive towards life, it helps radiate your skin both inside and out.

Understanding Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)and how it can be prevented

WHAT IS UTI?
UTI stands for Urinary tract Infection, it commonly affects the bladder (sometimes ureters and kidneys) because of the presence of bacteria in the urinary tract system. The urinary tract system of the human body is composed of tubes and containers necessary to store and remove urine from the body. The upper tract placed kidneys which produce urine by removing waste and water from the blood. The lower tract has two narrow tubes called ureters that connect the kidneys. The urine, when stored in the body travels down to the narrow ureters and stuck up in the bladder, at the bottom of the bladder, a small tube can be found, this is called urethra which then removed the urine out of the body.
It is estimated that 50% of women will experience UTI in their lifetime.

HOW UTI DEVELOPED?
Urine is bacteria-free. But if bacteria comes from outside (usually through the urethra), it will slowly develop into UTI. The most common bacteria that will trigger UTI usually occur in the large intestine. The most common type of UTI is bladder infections, scientifically called cystitis. These bacteria moved to the upper tract through ureters causing a kidney infection which is a more serious infection and needs medical attention right away.

SYMPTOMS OF UTI
Sexually transmitted diseases are another reason for UTI. Sexually active women are more prone to UTI and women after menopause. Women who engaged in sex often attracted bacteria to the urinary tract system, menopause women losses estrogen hormones causing the thinning of the urethral tissue therefore prone to bacteria because in the absence of estrogen, vaginal ph changes and reduced the number of good bacteria in the vaginal area to fight bad bacteria. Below are the common symptoms of UTI
a. Burning sensation while urinating
b. Frequent urge to urinate (passing only small amounts)
c. Pressure in the lower part of the abdomen
d. Blood in the urine
e. Bad odor in the urine

WOMEN ARE EASILY THE TARGET OF UTI
UTI usually affects women because of the short length and location of urethra of women compared to men. It is a prime entry point of bacteria to the urinary tract system. Bacteria from the nearby rectal area can migrate to the urethra. Women who are on the post-menopausal stage losses estrogen hormones which enable to body to produce good bacteria around the vaginal area.Using of birth control like spermicide and diaphragm increase the chances of acquiring UTI

MEN ARE AFFECTED TOO
Men can get UTI too, often the result of obstruction flow of urine. Men who are unable to urinate can attract bacteria to the urinary tract system. Another reason is inflamed prostate gland which restrict urine flow

HOW IT CAN BE TREATED
Uncomplicated UTI is commonly treated by antibiotics, left untreated UTI can progress to the upper tract which endangered the kidney.

HOW IT CAN BE PREVENTED
UTI can be prevented by drinking many liquids to flush bacteria, drink a lot of water at least 8 glasses a day, Cranberry juice may be protective because of its too acidic taste which can fight bacteria in the body, take Vitamin C. One must avoid too much soft drinks, salty and junk foods. Soft drinks can dries up the body which can create more bacteria. Urinate frequently when you feel the urge to urinate, bacteria will grow when urine stays in the bladder for too long. For sexually active individuals, urinate after each sexual activity to flush out bacteria.

The pageant organizers however was quick to defend that in Peru a person is considered one year older than their age after 6 months of their actual birthday. She was not dethroned however. She married Antonio Meier in 1965 and had 4 children together. Gladys Zender, the youngest Miss Universe winner ever, chose to live a quiet life away from the glittery world of show business.

Sushmita, who was a dark horse during the contest, did not win the crowd’s admiration with her not-so elegant gown and appearance, even in the fearless forecast before the actual show she failed to capture the public’s fantasy, whose favorites were Kristelle Rolandt of Belgium, Areeya Chumsai of Thailand, Minorka Mercado of Venezuela and the home bet Charlene Gonzales. The Miss Universe organization was considering of replacing her with her first runner up Taryn Mansell of Aruba, Alicia, pressured by her title and responsibilities tried hard to loss weight. In the end, she managed to shed off extra pounds and kept her crown. DENISE MARIE QUIÑONEZ OF PUERTO RICO (2001)-born on September 9, 1980 at Ponce, Puerto Rico. She was the first Miss Universe winner to win at home, which gave rise to rumors “ home court decision”. In Miss Universe history, no pageant host country wins the title. Denise bested more than 80 delegates including the crowd favorite (and my favorite too) Greek model Evelina Papantoniou whom journalists regarded as a deserving winner. Denise pursued a movie career after her term.

OXANA FEDOROVA OF RUSSIA (2002)- born on December 17, 1977 in Russia, Oxana is the daughter of a Russian nuclear physicist whom she did not meet, her parents separated when she was 3 years old and she never heard from her father since then. In 2001 she easily won the Miss Russia title but declined to represent Russia in Miss Universe 2001 for unknown reasons, but in 2002 she went on to join the pageant, her glamorous physique made her an event favorite and scored high in three major categories, according to the official tally of scores, she earned an almost perfect score of 9.88 in the swimsuit portion, making her as the only candidate with a highest score for that event in the history of the pageant. But several months after her victory, Oxana was dethroned by Miss Universe organizers for her failures to function on her responsibilities as Miss Universe. In her interview, she denied rumors of pregnancy. She was the only official title holder of Miss Universe who was dethroned and the organization did not recognized her as “former Miss Universe winner”, she was replaced by her first runner up, Justine Pasek of Panama.

SOURCES OF CALORIES

A calorie is a unit of measurement, but it does not measure unit of length. It is a unit of energy. Say for example, a certain food contains 100 calories, it’s a description of how much energy your body can get from eating that particular food. Calories are not bad for our body, in fact human body badly needs calories to get enough amount of energy, but eating too many calories and not burning them could be resulted to weight gain. There are foods containing more calories especially junk foods and fatty foods, but vegetables and fruits contained few calories.

Our body should have balanced activities to moderate weight gain. If you consumed foods with high calories, it is good to burn them with physical activities. But it is not recommended by health experts to burn all the calories your body accumulates, because our lungs and heart need them also to function well. Watching TV is not the most ideal hobby because it makes the body rest and the excess calories will stuck up in the muscles.

Here are the four sources of calories:

ALCOHOL
Among the four sources of calories, alcohol provides higher caloric content, but these calories have no essential vitamins and minerals attached. Alcohol-contained foods is converted into fat, unable to digest carefully, this will be stored in the body, which sometimes triggers obesity. But when taken in moderation, alcohol-contained foods may be beneficial as it increases the level of high density lipoproteins in the body. Too much alcohol intake has bad effect to over all health as this may contribute to diseases such as multiple liver failure, brain damage, weakening of the heart muscles and premature aging, it can also increased the risk of all forms of cancer. Red wine, according to some health studies, shows some beneficial effects because of the presence of resveratrol in grape skin, an antioxidant that helps slow cardiovascular diseases like hardening of the artery, but this should also be taken in moderation.

CARBOHYDRATES
Carbohydrates when broken down in the digestive system will form glucose, which is the essential source of energy and tissue protein. Our central nervous system-the brain and the spinal cord-depends on glucose for energy requirements, thus without carbohydrates, our body slows its alertness and dropped down the level of normal functioning. Carbohydrates rich foods are whole grain cereals, brown rice, bread, pasta, corn, beans, peas, potatoes, fruits, vegetables and meat products. These foods when taken are slowly broken down into glucose and absorbed by the body. But carbohydrates should be aided by soluble fibers to aid the proper digestion process. Soluble fibers include apples, strawberries, oats, citrus and other fruits. It will help support the body by slowing down the process of glucose thereby lowering cholesterol level. Insoluble fibers in leafy vegetables, whole grain products help prevent constipation.
FATS
Fats can be classified as saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated. Sources of saturated fats are eggs, milk and meat, saturated fats also contain cholesterol, which is manufactured by the liver and small intestine, by this reason, the body does not need cholesterol from food sources. When we consumed too much saturated fats, it will tend to increase lipoprotein (often called bad cholesterol) in our blood stream, this will leave additional coating of cholesterol in the artery walls and slowly clog the arteries. The narrowing of the arteries makes the heart to pump harder and refused to spread the supply of blood into other parts of the body, this activity leads to the tiring of the muscle of the hearts that causes heart disease and hypertension, other various diseases may drawn out also including obesity and cancer.

Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats (also called good cholesterol) can be obtained from vegetable oils, nuts, olives and avocados. They are essential fats that needed our body to store energy and renew body cells. Fats are the most important component sources of energy our body needed. It is important for the absorption of fat-soluble foods and supplements including Vitamins A, D, E and K, with out fats, these vitamins could not be absorbed fully by our body. Fats are important protectors of the human body from extreme temperatures of heat and cold.

PROTEIN
Proteins composed of complex nitrogen-containing compounds that build and repair body tissue. Proteins also form antibodies, enzyme, hemoglobin and hormones. Proteins also are made up of essential fatty acids which can be obtained from milk, eggs, meat and fish. Deficiency of protein can hamper growth developments and prevent the body to fight infections. But too much protein can endanger body’s functioning, because it will force the kidney to eliminate the excessive waste products.

The virgin Queen, Elizabeth I of England. According to many historians, she refused to get married for fear of losing the English throne to foreign rulers in marriage alliances. However, her fiery character against marriage resulted to the union of England and Scotland forming the geographical name of Great Britain when she succeeded by her great nephew James VI of Scotland.

The virgin Queen, Elizabeth I of England. According to many historians, she refused to get married for fear of losing the English throne to foreign rulers in marriage alliances. But her stubbornness to refuse in marriage resulted to the union of England and Scotland forming the geographical name of Great Britain when she succeeded by her great nephew James VI of Scotland.

Society dictates us that married life is a pre-requisite of our existence in this world, that silly principle influenced our minds to hop in even if our financial and emotional resources throw a red flag in front of our faces. We might as well reassess our real motive in joining the intricacies of married life. But are we really assured of happiness and fulfillment if we crawl into the aisle or better be contented with our own selves if unfortunately or fortunately we are destined to remain single forever. Single hood has no specific map to follow, whether you are famous, a man or a woman “about-town”, wealthy, powerful or just an ordinary folk. Reasons range from out of choice, no choice or just enjoying the value of freedom.

Here are great inspirations from World’s famous people who refused to take a plunge and choose to sail into the sunset of their lives- alone.

LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN-was born on Dec.16 1770 and died on Mar.26 1827. He was a German composer and virtuoso pianist (Italian term means an individual who possesses outstanding technical ability in singing or playing a musical instrument). He remains one of the most influential composers of all time. When he was in his 20’s Beethoven became completely deaf but it did not hamper his desire to compose songs, in fact he became an ardent composer who would later on rise to fame despite his shortcomings. When he was 16 his mother died of tuberculosis, he became a breadwinner raising his two younger brothers because his father became an alcohol addict and could no longer support his family. According to some sources, the reason of his deafness was due to a severe disorder called tinnitus, a “ringing” in his ears that made it hard for him to perceive and appreciate music; because of this incapacity, he also avoided conversation. He lived for a time in the small Austrian town of Heiligenstadt, just outside Vienna. Over the years his deafness became his liability especially in every performance, at one point, according to many historians, during the premiere of his Ninth Symphony, he saw that the audience greatly appreciated his work and noticed their overwhelming applause but because of his hearing impediment, he heard nothing then he began to weep bitterly. Reports had it that, he attempted suicide several times. Beethoven never married but at one point he was engaged to a pretty German aristocrat Giulietta Guiccardi, but her father refused to accept Beethoven, instead made her marry to a German nobleman. Beethoven died during thunderstorm in 1827.

US Pres.JAMES BUCHANAN– (born Apr.23, 1791 and died June 1, 1868) was the 15th US President. He was born to a humble family in Philadelphia, his aggressiveness in life made him a well-known businessman and politician. His political career started as a US representative. He was a lawyer and owned a law firm before becoming a politician. James Buchanan had a love story worthy of soap operas. His love life was one of a kind and very rare in a man who was in power. He was engaged to Ann Caroline Coleman, daughter of a wealthy businessman from Philadelphia, but he spent less time with his fiancée because of his business and other political engagements, the reports that he was only marrying Ann for her money complicated the situation. There were reports also that he was involved to other women which denied by Buchanan, gradually Ann broke off the engagement and later on died from an overdose. Ann’s death shocked Buchanan especially when her family blamed her death to him. In his memoir, he wrote: “It is now no time for explanation, but the time will come when you will discover that she, as well as I, had been much abused. God forgive the authors of it… I may sustain the shock of her death, but I feel that happiness has fled from me forever.” He declared then that he would never marry. When he was elected into the US presidency, his niece Hariett Carter served as first lady in the Whitehouse.

SIR ISAAC NEWTON-(born January 1643 and died March 31, 1727) was a gifted English Scientist, he was known through out the world history as the father of modern science with a spectacular talent in physical science. He was a great mathematician, physicist, astronomer, natural philosopher and theologian. He developed his initial study in the law of gravity from the falling apple in his English courtyard. His book Philosophia Naturalis Principia Mathematica published in 1687, is said to be the greatest single work in the history of science. The theory contained in the book dominated the scientific view of the physical universe for the next three centuries and said to be the basis for modern engineering. Due to his remarkable achievement in the field of science, Isaac Newton was awarded with Honorary British Knighthood by Queen Anne of England in 1704, earning him the courtesy title of SIR.
There was only one recorded romance of Isaac Newton, at the age of 19, while studying at The King’s School in Grantham, he met Anne Storer, it was reported they were engaged but later on broke up because Newton became engrossed in his studies. Storer married someone else and Newton was greatly affected with this break up. He kept a warm memory with this romance and devoted his full time in his works in science and never married. Newton’s body when autopsied after his death found a massive amount of mercury, probably resulting from his alchemical pursuits.

ALFRED NOBEL-(born October 21, 1833 died December 10- 1896) was a Swedish scientist and inventor of dynamite. He had been often compared to America’s Thomas Alva Edison who had no formal college education when they discovered their first invention that made them famous through out world history.
Alfred Nobel did not marry; legend had it that Nobel was frustrated when a Swedish woman rejected him for another gentleman who was a great Swedish mathematician. Alfred did not pursue romance anymore, one year before his death, he wrote his last will splitting his fortunes to various charities and left an instruction to establish an award giving body for human achievements, The Nobel Prize award which will be given in 5 areas: Chemistry, Physics, physiology and Medicine, Literature and Economics (Peace Prize was added years later). There were rumors arise when the field of mathematics was not included in the award, according to the legend, Alfred Nobel felt the romance rejection terribly upsetting that he strictly instructed in his last will testament that no field of mathematics will be included in giving of the awards (since his arch rival was a mathematician) however, the rumor remained a rumor through out the years. Some version had it that mathematics was not included because it was integrated in physics and chemistry, for example Albert Einstein, a German born American Scientist who was known in modern history as the greatest mathematician of the 20th century won his Nobel Prize Award in the field of Physics via Law on Photo electric effect in 1921. Nobel Prize Award made a debut in December 10, 1901 at Stockholm, Sweden, five years after Alfred Nobel’s death.
After his invention of Dynamite, world’s conservatives were furious on him that he was dismissively called “The Merchant of Death”. Nobel was a shy man who was afraid in meeting people. He died in an Italian village, west of Venice.

HER MAJESTY, QUEEN ELIZABETH I of England (called the Great-born on September 7, 1533 and died March 24, 1603)-was the daughter of King Henry VIII and his second wife Anne Boleyn from the famous Howard clan. When Anne was beheaded in 1536, Elizabeth was only three years old. She was named after her paternal grandmother Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Consort of King Henry VII (the former Princess Elizabeth of York, daughter of King Edward IV) and her maternal grandmother Lady Elizabeth Howard, daughter of Thomas Howard, the 2nd Duke of Norfolk. She became Queen of England in 1558 at the age of 25 when her half-sister Queen Mary I died without children. She was famously known as “The Virgin Queen” because she never got married, the state of Virginia in the mainland US was named after her. Elizabeth was the last monarch of the Tudor dynasty and because of her, Great Britain was born. She was succeeded by his great nephew King James VI of Scotland, who reigned in England as King James I, the first of the Stuart monarchs in Britain who unite Scotland and England forming the geographical name of Great Britain, Wales was added later through a conquest.

Queen Elizabeth stubborness against marriage became a legend, with her beauty, wealth and fame, the last thing could happen was to succumb to spinsterhood, but the fiery Queen, who was the responsible of the beheading of the last female Scottish ruler Queen Mary, who happens to be her great niece, strongly maintained that she could not sacrifice the English throne through a marriage alliance for a foreign Prince. During medieval period, royalty were not allowed to marry commoners, since Elizabeth was an heiress presumptive of her sister Mary Tudor, she must choose a man with a Princely title and must expand English territories through a marriage of a foreign royal. But there are reports that Elizabeth suffered a hidden trauma which affected her views about men.

Elizabeth, having declared illegitimate when her mother Ann Boleyn stripped the title of a Queen and executed, lived in various royal palaces, then in 1548, she temporarily lived in the countryhome of Thomas Seymour, brother of Jane Seymour, the third wife of her father King Henry VIII, despite their age differences, it was reported that she formed a unique relationship with Seymour that it was suspected leading to romance. Elizabeth was only 15 at that time and Seymour, a married man, was 40, threatening a scandalous relationship, Courtiers of the sovereign stepped up to break the ties. Elizabeth was moved out from the Seymour household. When she became Queen, she avoided the issue of romance and never entertained suitors, some historians noted that the fiery Queen may be was traumatized with Thomas Seymour, whom many claimed, took advantaged of her innocence. However she formed a unique closeness with her favorite equerry Robert Dudley, whom she made an Earl of Leicester. Issue of romance was dismissed because Dudley was married at that time. Since then no romance issue attached to the Tudor Queen and the Courtiers avoided entertaining suitors in behalf of the monarch. Her last persistent suitor was Francis, the Duke of Anjou, twenty two years her junior.

Queen Elizabeth I was not the only female royalty who did not marry. Princess Augusta, daughter of King George III of Great Britain remained single through out her life, though she had number of suitors eager to seek her hand she refused to accept any one and chose to live alone at the royal estate of Frogmore near Windsor Castle. Princess Victoria, daughter of King Edward VII and the favorite sister of King George V of Great Britain, was a spinster. Lately, two European Princesses comfortably embraced single hood like a royal crown, Princess Elisabeth of Denmark now 68 years old, a first cousin to Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Princess Irene of Greece and Denmark now 65 years old, youngest daughter of King Paul I of Greece and sister of Queen Sophia of Spain (they are both second cousin of Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales through his father Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh who is the first cousin of King Paul I). Princess Irene was once considered a royal match to King Harald V of Norway, her third cousin once removed through Queen Victoria of Britain, but the Norwegian monarch choose the commoner Sonja, disappointing all his royal relatives.

JANE AUSTEN-(born on December 16, 1775 and died on July 18, 1817) was a classic English writer, she was one of the most widely read writers in British literature. She was the author of 2 classic novels that were both made into Hollywood movies: Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice. She started writing at the age of 16 but made her first publication at the age of 36. She was the daughter of an English clergy man that’s why most of her novels’ theme was reserved, conservative and with religious touches. She was raised in a humble household and lived her entire life with her parents.

Jane Austen remained single through out her life. However, there was one recorded love affair of Jane. In her 20’s she met and fell in love with a guy named Tom Lefroy, and based on the story of her sister Cassandra, the two were clearly in love but the family of Tom intervened as the latter was still finding his own place in the field of law and money was the most important issue during that time to start a family. Eventually they were separated and Jane Austen never saw him again. This failed romance of Jane was evidently the basis of her immortal classic, Pride and Prejudice. In 1802 when she was 27 years old, she received her only marriage proposal, a University graduate from Oxford, Harris Bigg-Wither, according to some accounts, Bigg-Wither was not a good looking man and despite his University degree, was not a good conversationalist to the point of being tactless when engaged in a conversation, but he was heir to a large portion of family estate, which Jane thought a practical decision for her and her family. But for unknown reasons, Austen, suddenly changed her mind and broke off the engagement. Historians later on noted that may be Austen did not really loved her fiancé and marrying him would be a big mistake. She died at the age of 42.

Ironically Jane Austen became famous several years after her death when her artistic style in writing made known to the literary world. Soon adaptations in film and television of her novels followed.

HIS SERENE HIGHNESS PRINCE ALBERT II, the Sovereign Prince of Monaco (born on March 14, 1958)-he is the only son and second child of Prince Rainier III of Monaco and Grace Kelly, a Hollywood star. He became the ruler of Monaco (a tiny principality on the Mediterranean coast, south of France) in April 2005 on the death of his father, Prince Rainier of the Royal House of Grimaldi. Albert was a sport enthusiast, an Olympian, having been represented Monaco in the Bobsled event (a winter sport in which teams make timed runs down narrow, twisting, banked, iced tracks in a gravity powered sled) in 1998 and 2002 Winter Olympics. He graduated in 1981 in Amherst College in Massachusetts, USA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
Prince Albert bachelorhood sparks many controversies and gave rise to rumors that he is homosexual. The prince has consistently denied this and became irritated with the constant media intrusion about his sexuality. He has string of attracted girlfriends in the past mostly fashion models including Claudia Schiffer, Catherine Oxenberg, Angie Everhart and Brooke Shields. He has also at least 2 children born out of wedlock, a daughter from a California woman he met while studying in the US and a son, he sired from Nicole Coste, an Air France flight stewardess from Togo. However, these children are not in line of succession to the principality of Monaco because they are illegitimates. Presently, the 50 year old Prince is dating Charlene Wittstock, a South African Olympian in the swimming event. But the Prince is continuingly denying speculations that their relationship is heading for marriage. Until he sired legitimate children, the prince’s direct successor is her older sister, Princess Caroline who became the second wife of Prince Ernest of Hanover on January 1999 (third cousin of Queen Elizabeth II). She presently bears a title of The Hereditary Princess of Monaco, her dashing son Andrea Casiraghi is second in line of succession to the monasque throne.

THE THORNS AND ROSES OF BEING SINGLE AND MARRIED

Me, lalai and my sister. All singles!

Me, lalai and my sister. All singles!

In a marriage conscious society like ours, single hood is often compared to a malignant cancer that sends a horrifying response among individuals. Society dictates that a normal human being must be married no matter how complicated the situation is. Well, for idiot individual maybe this is true. But if your senses are intact, walking in the path of marriage unprepared is like walking in a landmine filled area. Everyday is like a blasting.

But there are people who really succeeded in torturing other people’s minds, I was not an exemption. Years ago I was surrounded with lunatic people that when I turned 30 the silly idea of single hood had sink horribly in my brain, I increasingly became erratic and edgy. The 30 figure alone terrifies me, as if I saw a serial killer and I will be the next victim. I was like a menopausal horse; I easily irritated, threw tantrums every 5 seconds of the day and flared up with no apparent reason.

But what is in single hood that makes every human being nervous? Is it a shocking fact to remain single for the rest of our lives? Or are we just pressured by the society to take the plunge? Just like marriage, single hood has its thorns and roses, the thorny situation in marriage is when problems burst up (which according to them, a normal thing to happen in any married couple) triggering a constant row that may resulted sometimes into a heated, emotional encounter, but there are thorns in married life that are impossible to imagine like those physically abusive partners, infidelities and financial difficulties.

For single individual, financial matter is not really a big thing. The thorny issue for singles is the constant battle of emptiness which lays on the emotional side of life, though it could be overcome with outdoor activities and winding up with friends, it still persists as days gone by. Marriage has lots of thorny stages compared to singles. Married people smell roses when fulfillment and contentment can be felt, the joy of motherhood and being a devoted wife, when waking up each morning knowing that they had partners whom they can share and talk with and spend the rest of their lives watching the sunset. There will be abundant supply of roses for single people also, the enormous value of freedom and the thoughts of having no other person meddling life, singles can go anywhere without thinking somebody might disapprove. There are lots of contradictions between marriage and single hood, it is hard to conclude which state is more convenient and more fulfilling, the most important thing is you know how to comfortably embrace each step you’ve taken and you know how to respond to every responsibilities attached whether you are single or married.

While marriage, to some people, is a happy state, it is not always a key to happiness. Couples who engaged in traumatic rows, infidelities and disillusionment are hardly an advertisement for happiness and satisfaction. Marriage is not a rest house or an assurance island when you want to escape from the harshness in life and want comforts. It is not a protecting arms and a loving machine when you are down or lonely and needed somebody to watch you crawl in bed in despair. It is an unconditional state where the two people gathered resources to make it work and spend the rest of their life watching how crazy butterflies danced in the backyard. Love is not enough, I bet, there’s a considerable amount of trust and respect you invest in order to go on with it.

Single hood on the other hand is another state, unfortunately this vocation treated by other with a cold heart. We leave in a very cruel environment where everybody expected to scramble in marriage no matter how difficult the situation is, a lot of crazy married individuals urged singles to trap themselves in marriage like them, they are engrossed with their own silliness that lured you to take the same road with them. Our morbid society dictates us that single hood is a lonely state and that it is best to grip ourselves in marriage. But it is a choice, a freedom to make a decision and nobody has a perfect authority to sermon you about happiness and satisfaction and contented and God knows what else.

Well everybody wanted to get married. Of Course. But that decision should be drawn from personal choices and not because of influences. It will be very comfortable if you plunge into marriage because you choose it rather than pressured from other sources. The two has both ups and downs and both tricky when it comes to freedom and satisfaction issues but both shared a common denominator: SACRIFICE. It’s on how you make and treat the state of sacrifice that makes each status smoothly running without being freak towards the end of the day.

After all, there are marriages ended up in misery and single hood in happiness. Whatever it is, the most important thing to remember is how prepared you are to take both responsibilities. Positive outlook, good disposition and strong faith in God are the best weapon to dance the right step and sing the correct tune of life whether you are single or married. At the end of the day, it is still the best weighing point where to find your own happiness without bothering whether you put the right make up or wear the right shoes.

PRINCESS DIANA’S SHORT BIOGRAPHY

The wedding of the 20th century, Prince Charles and Princess Diana seemed a fulfillment of a fairytale stuff that goes..and they lived happily ever after, but destiny decreed otherwise.

The wedding of the 20th century, Prince Charles and Princess Diana seemed a fulfillment of a fairytale stuff that goes..and they lived happily ever after, but destiny decreed otherwise.

the late Princess of Wales, Diana. her compassion and kindness made her unforgettable through out the world

the late Princess of Wales, Diana. her compassion and kindness made her unforgettable throught out the world

She had been born The Honorable Diana Frances Burke-Roche Spencer on July 1, 1961 at Sandringham, a 25, 000 acre estate of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Britain. The private royal estate located at Norfolk, England, is a favorite royal residence of three British Monarchs, Edward VII his son George V and his grandson George VI. Diana’s family lived in Park house in Sandringham until 1975. Diana’s parents came from Britain’s remarkable noble family, her father the 8th Earl of Althorp, Lord Johnny Spencer was a direct descendant of King Charles II through his two sons the Duke of Richmond and the Duke of Grafton, Diana’s mother Frances was the pretty blonde daughter of the 4th Baron Fermoy, Lord Edmund Burke-Roche whose mother was the American billionaire Frances Work.Diana had two older sisters Sarah and Jane and a younger brother Charles.

In 1967, when Diana was six, her parents separated. Soon the nasty custody battle started, the proceedings highlighted with Diana’s maternal grandmother, Lady Ruth Fermoy, the Lady-in-waiting of the Queen Mother at that time, defended Lord Spencer in court, eventually the custody ruled in favor of Diana’s father. In 1969, after the divorce became final Frances married Peter Shand Kydd, a wealthy commoner trader. Lord Spencer remarried in 1976 to the former Lady Dartmouth, Raine, daughter of romance writer Barbara Cartland. Diana had a difficult childhood, though she was born to a privilege, upper class noble family, her memories were mostly confined in the troubled marriage of her parents, her resentment toward the Spencer’s staff and the rejection she felt for not being a boy at birth, which she found out later, was the cause of her parents separation. Her father was yearning for a son to pass his noble title, when his wife, Frances, failed to produce a boy after two daughters, Lord Spencer increasingly became erratic until his outbursts became an emotional abuse to his wife, when the Spencer heir, Charles was born 3 years after the birth of Diana, Lord and Lady Spencer’s misunderstanding lead them to separate lives.

She attended an exclusive school for girls, first at Riddlesworth then moved on to West Heath boarding school. When she was 14, her grandfather, Lord Albert Spencer, the 7th Earl of Althorp, died, her father officially became the 8th Earl of Althorp and moved with his children to the Spencer family seat at Althorp estate in Northamptonshire, England. Diana and her sisters earned the courtesy title of a Lady and her brother Charles became Viscount Althorp. At the age of 16 Lady Diana dropped out from school and was sent by her father to Switzerland to study in a private finishing school for girls but after 3 months she went home. When she was 18 years old, she was permitted by her parents to buy an apartment called Coleherne Court in London and lived independently, first she earned her keeps by working as a baby sitter then as an assistant to a nearby kindergarten school.

When Lady Diana was 19, she met the 31 year old Prince of Wales, Charles, who was increasingly pressured by his family to settle down to ensure the continuation of the House of Windsor, but as an heir to the British throne, he couldn’t afford to just choose any woman, his uncle Lord Mountbatten already warned him that it could be a disaster to the future of the monarchy if he choose a commoner non aristocratic woman. While making an agonizing decision in marriage, Prince Charles began to notice the blossoming beauty of Lady Diana, they quietly known each other for they came from the same social class and Charles, at one point, briefly dated her older sister Sarah in 1977. when they met again in July 1980, the Prince of Wales noted how much she transformed into a beautiful young woman. When their private dates became known to the press, the innocent Diana felt terrified of the attention and pressure the media had given to her, which she found “unbearable”.

When the royal family knew of their love affair, they quickly approved Diana and pronounced as the most suitable candidate for the future Queen of England. By royal tradition, a future Queen Consort should be titled, with noble or royal lineage, socially inexperienced, a protestant without a past and most of all no career of her own. Ideally, Diana accomplished all these requirements. On February 1981, Buckingham Palace announced their engagement and Diana had to move to Clarence house with the Queen Mother and later on transferred to Buckingham Palace to familiarize with the royal routine. On July 29, 1981 the wedding of the 20th century took place at St. Paul’s Cathedral, London.

Diana took the title Her Royal Highness, the Princess of Wales after their wedding, she was the first English woman to marry an heir to the British throne in 300 years and the first non-princess to become the Princess of Wales, the title arrived in marriage and departed through divorce, within 15 years this condition proved true. As a child of a broken marriage, Diana took motherhood terribly, her eldest son Prince William, second in line to the British throne, was born on June 21, 1982, while Prince Harry, third in line to the British throne arrived in the royal world two years later on September 1984. She was a hands on mother, as what the British press reported, she personally nourished her sons, dashed to their rooms when she heard them crying. She fought with palace rules to enrol them to a day school to have an exposure with ordinary life and mingle with other people.

But all was not well with the fairytale couple, though they appeared solid and united in public, privately they did not get along, Charles’s adultery made Diana even more suicidal and lonely. But the pretensions did not last long, on December 1992 their formal separation was announced. When their divorce became final on August 1996, Diana was stripped with HRH style, but she remained the Princess of Wales and a member of the British royal family because she was the mother of the future King. On the following year, she started dating Dodi Al-fayed, son of Harrod’s billionaire owner Mohammad Al-fayed, because of his muslim heritage, their relationshiop was largely criticized by the media and the royal family, nevertheless Diana found happiness and protection she craved endlessly. But it seems she was not destined of a happy ending, on the morning of August 31, 1997, the black mercedez Benz she was riding with Dodi, slammed on the 13th pillar of Pont de alma tunnel in down town Paris, dodi’s driver was blinded by the motorcycle lights of the paparazzi who were aggresively pursued the Princess from Ritz hotel.

The announcement of her death punched a hole to everybody’s heart. Her compassion, her kindness and humility were known to the world, though her difficult life with in the British establishment magnified everyday, she struggled to create her own mission to help the downtrodden. More then a Princess, Diana understood how to live a fairytale life in the modern world, she did not confine herself in the isolated world of royalty, she reached out to those who badly needed help, that’s why everybody felt cheated in her sudden demise.

Now, eleven years after her death, people across the globe still haunted by her image, her glamour, her compassion and influenced, just how did this spectacular human being left a great footprint to the world?well, according to an article in Good HouseKeeping magazine, a Philippine issue published on July 2007, she was a mass of contradictions, she was beautiful, untouchable, royal, troubled. she lived in a unique world of glamour, wealth and fame, yet she seemed lonely and vulnerable. She was kind and giving and yet endlessly wanting, she was the fulfillment of a fairytale everybody dreamed of, but deeply troubled with in herself whose very family seemed turn against her, misinterpreting her insecurities and emotional struggle as merely symptoms of iresponsible behavior. But the most important thing, she left the world with a wondeful life and a great example, a true christian woman who valued others more than herself.

Her sons, Prince William and Harry, who were clearly devastated with her death, vowed to protect her memory. They continue working with charities whom their mother loved and declared to keep Diana’s legacy alive.

SIMPLE TIPS ON HOW TO INCREASE YOUR MONTHLY SAVINGS AND RE-STYLE YOUR BUDGET

In a society like ours who treated “spending” as an ultimate freedom, saving in contrast seems like a boring idea. Saving sounds like a strange idea to most people especially to folks with paltry monthly net pay, like me. Human beings are unique creatures who loved to think of squandering rather than saving, but there are other important reasons that stalled us from embracing “saving” seriously, the high cost of living that grip the world today plus the fact that rude employers (especially in the Philippines) stubbornly refused to give a pay raise, setting aside some extra amount can really be a torture.

But then I realized that in this world of uncertainties and misery, no one exactly knows when the path of emergency hits you and the importance of having extra money is really a great comfort. I spend the rest of the weeks agonizing over how to devise a budgeting scheme, my meager salary is impossible enough to accommodate my daily expenses much more save. But my determination to put a little amount “for rainy days” was so strong that I studied every possible option for my plan. After exploring different techniques and formats, at last, I finally arrived in a suitable “saving and budgeting style” suited for my financial status without sacrificing other needs.

Here are some of those valuable tips:

1. DETERMINE YOUR MONTHLY INCOME– this is the most crucial step you have to undertake while creating a room for “saving”. Sometimes it is so difficult to come to terms with our fate especially when we see the horrifying facts of our pay slip every pay day, but the free will to survive remains so strong that I devised an effective plan to give a go signal in my account (LOL!).
2. DETERMINE YOUR MONTHLY EXPENSES-a lot of people committed a grieve mistake in this area. Why? Because they think they can get away with the misery of crisis that they spend, spend and spend incessantly until every drop of cents took them away to the wrong path of budgeting. Thinking they can still look comfortably for other alternative in increasing their income, they tend to increase their daily needs also without limits. But an income is not considered income unless you received the tangible amount. So better control your appetite in spending to avoid troubles with mounting expenses. To prevent disaster in buying unnecessary items, the most ideal thing to do is write down your expenses based on your priority for that particular month and see to it that the amount won’t override your monthly income. It is best to plan what are your priorities. For instance your August 15 salary is only good for grocery and amortization, do not force yourself to buy branded materials and eat in a 5 star hotel with the rest of your family, it can wait up to the next pay day, just write it down and include in your next budget.

3. STICK TO YOUR BUDGET– after analyzing your income and expenses, write down the things you want to buy based on the needs you included as expenses. When you go to the shopping malls, always bring that copy and stick to what it is written there and be sure not to make any alteration with your notes. If buying shoes is not included in your list, then maintain some resistance when seeing a cute, new arrival shoes from Gucci. Sometimes, self-discipline is the best teacher in life when you don’t know anymore how to spank your attitude with never ending debt. Remember, if you don’t know how to resist the charm of temptation you will ended up rampaging your wallet and credit card and the whole budgeting style went into drain.

4. THINK FOR YOUR SAVINGS-if you are really in a hopeless condition to maintain savings, try to make an effort to open at least 1 savings account separate from your monthly payroll account, it won’t hurt your ego if you will set a side for a bank account, there are banks offering small maintaining balance. With this technique you will not lure to spend everything when pay day arrived. A savings account is your defense during “rainy days” and that should be included in your monthly plans just like expenses. When you received your salary, deposit right away the intended amount for your savings and be sure not to withdraw it the next day.
5. MAINTAIN A NOTEBOOK– for your income, expenses and other plans. Try to label it with the following:
INCOME-this column consists of your net pay and other income you expected to receive for that particular month. Remember an income is not considered income unless you are sure to receive that particular amount.
GROCERY-this column consists of your grocery needs. You must
Itemized the grocery you want to purchase for that period. It is best to buy grocery items at least once every two weeks to ensure limits, by this method you have a clear idea how to create the next budget for your grocery needs.
AMORTIZATION- you also make a column for this item and list down
the amount due for that period.
PAYABLES- assuming you have monthly payables for your loan and
other debt obligations.
FOOD ALLOWANCE-this column amount is exclusively for food
Consumption only, separated from the grocery item, to evaluate how far you spend on foods and other beverages.
PETTY ALLOWANCE-the purpose of this amount is to supplement other expenses incase you will be short in your budget, for instance you want to buy additional grocery or watch a movie or indulge in sumptuous snacks which is not Included in your list, this allocation will cover the costs without sacrificing your savings account.

After the rundown lists, put a corresponding amount with the above items to anticipate the cash you only carry when you go into shopping but be sure to have an extra amount in case you will be short, try to compare prices with atleast 2 shopping malls, in picking product item try checking the nutrional value if they are the same pick the cheaper one.

The next thing to do is determine the amount you want to deposit in your savings account. Now, don’t grind your teeth for my unusual style of savings, some people or even in books, tell us to prioritize the saving amount before expenses, I won’t follow that pattern because there is a tendency to scramble in your savings account and withdraw when expenses run a bit larger. My technique is to make a total of all my expenses and deduct it from my income, the remaining amount will be for my savings, in that sense I will not be tempted to withdraw in my savings account just to augment other needs.

6. MINIMIZED THOSE INCOME-WASTED HABITS-lately I bought a business book written by David King entitled “You Can Be Rich”. Here he listed some of the income-wasting habits that must be avoided and minimized:
a. Eating weekly in fancy restaurants-though eating in fine dining restaurants is not a mortal sin, it is not a good idea to eat there too often when you are guarding your purse for possible disaster or when your budget is not allowed you to pick up delicate European delicacies coupled with expensive wines. You can include that in your next budget. The idea of eating regularly in a fancy restaurant is suited only to people whose income allowed them to patronize daily resto hopping, not when you are analyzing your next budgeting tactics.

b. Regularly betting on lotto and sweepstakes-this is one ridiculous habit that must not be tolerated by any parties. Though gambling is an incurable disease, especially to those who make “take a chance” as their life’s guiding principle, this habit is applicable only to those who have sufficient income, but if you are struggling with your limited salary and has a family to think about, forget this insidious habit and refrain from entertaining any ambition to patronize this kind of “past time”. Betting on lotto and sweepstakes is like a charm that you can’t resist until you’ll become addicted to it, that addiction will take you further to eternity of troubles. Correct me if I’m wrong.

c. Having two or more credit cards-this is the common mistakes of people belonging to my class (that is, receiving a not-so-handsome-salary), again, this is good only to those who have huge income, businessman or other affluent individuals. I am not saying that you have to deprive yourself from acquiring one (according to them a very helpful scheme-but I don’t think so), but maintaining more than one is a sure suicide if your income is only grasping a minimum limit good enough for your daily needs. If you have one credit card makes sure to stick to your capacity to pay and not to go down the bottom of your credit limit. If you are itching to buy that cute cellular phones or new invented exercise machine, do not pull your credit card right away, but think a hundred times whether that desire of acquiring those gadgets makes you an insomniac or tend to bloat your stomach or trigger your migraines, if not, then discard that idea and wait until you have enough money.

d. Having postpaid plan on mobile phone-this idea is suited only to those who have comfortable income and of course, self-discipline. I must say self-discipline because if you don’t know how to set your own limits with calls and texts you will ended up swimming into the ocean of huge phone bills. Pre-paid is a lot easier compared to post plan because you can budget your calls and texts at your comforts.

e. Patronizing convenience stores-convenience stores are a bit expensive compared to supermarkets and other shopping stores. The amount you spend with their high prices can be saved for other expenses, so as much as possible avoid them.

f. Buying from the internet and home channels-the huge interest they added is not a surefire for those who are planning their budget.

g. Shopping without a clear idea of what you want-Again, it is best to write down the things you want to purchase based on your budget for that particular period to avoid buying unnecessary things. When you are thinking of having those seductive clothes for the next pay day or tantalizing make up kit that you think could enhance your sex appeal, right it down and start window shopping to compare prices, department stores’ prices vary to some degrees, do not stupidly think that expensive items are more durable than cheap ones, in some cases it might true but not always, it is on how you used it that makes the material enduring. When you are buying food items in the supermarket, try to take time reading nutritional information usually written at the back of the label, compare the nutritional value with the same brands, if they are the same, then pick up the cheaper item. Do not depend your judgment on TV commercials, they are not really reliable. My simple tips: When buying milk, I usually look on vitamins and minerals with higher content of the following: Calcium, Iron, Zinc, Folate, Vitamins A,C,D and E, if the 2 milk brands have the same value, I usually pick the cheaper one. The most important thing is you achieve your purpose why you bought that particular product.
h. Patronizing branded materials regularly-try to discipline yourself and put in mind that wearing branded materials everyday won’t make you the local version of Paris Hilton or Julia Roberts or Jennifer Aniston. It won’t add glamour either. The real glamorous people are those who carry themselves well, who looks amazing even in simple get up and there’s no need to be accentuated with branded fabrics, it is on how you present yourself, your aura and the unbeatable x-factor (the factor which makes a person unique). It did not matter if you are wearing Gucci, Christian Dior or smudging in Revlon or Estee Lauder, or just shopping in surplus shops. There are people who look silly in their Armani jeans and there are folks also who look fabulous in their worn out garments. In fact, according to Hollywood star, Scarlet Johanson, “it’s not the clothes you’re wearing, it’s the attitude and the projection that matters, self-confidence is the best accessories you could ever wear on”. But of course, I didn’t say you won’t buy branded materials for the rest of your life (how could that be when you can afford to splurge on the latest classy trend, it’s a wonderful feeling also having Louis Vuitton tacking in your arms isn’t it?), but see to it that it is included in your budget and your purse allowed you to have them without sacrificing your next meal or your food allowance or your children’s tuition fees and avoid the perennial headache of mounting debts.

With these tried and tested tips, you can plan now your next step in budgeting that is putting another column, I call it “a dream column”, because that’s where I wrote my wants like “vacation”, “buy a new cellphone” or “buy a laptop”. Then patiently looked on my savings as the amount slowly escalating, anyway my “wants” can wait, I am in no hurry, I consider my “wants” as things that can be safely put in one corner because they are not really urgent things, I can still breath comfortably without them.

In planning to create your “saving machine”, it is good to welcome positive energy in your system. You must condition yourself to resist the excitement of having extra money in your account, do not be tempted to slash your saving allotment for unnecessary expenditure. There are only three basic functions to operate in creating a “money saver system”-determination, self-discipline and faith in God. If you have these abilities, you can surely make it, these three attitudes will take you further to life’s interesting and exciting journey.

But if these techniques and styles fail, do not lose hope; remember that in failing you can start reassessing yourself what are the things that contributed to failures. Through failures you can develop additional self-confidence and wisdom. Failures increase our desire to succeed. Success is in fact the product of failures.

According to David King’s book You Can Be Rich “We become what we constantly think about, whatever we have in mind it increases as days passed. If we think failures all the time we won’t get away with failing, but if we think success, even if it doesn’t evident in the horizon, we are sure to succeed”. Thomas Watson, founder of IBM recognized failures as a pre-requisite to success, he declared: “If you want to be successful faster, you must double your rate of failures, success lies on the far side of failures”. So start your plan now and give it a full blast once you start. You may add your own style in saving if you want.

Just put in mind the wisdom of great American inventor Thomas Alva Edison left to the world: when Edison tried inventing Electric bulb, he suffered 40 failed experiments that his co-workers, in desperation, finally gave up, but the great genius told them: Why giving up in simple failures? Now we know that there are 40 experiments that won’t work so we have to eliminate them and try new approach”. Eventually, his tough attitude paid off and was credited for inventing the first Electric bulb.

Fiber rich foods are essential in every person's diet to avoid chronic diseases in the future

Fiber consists of plant cellulose and other indigestible materials in foods, unlike other foods, fiber rich foods cannot be digested by the human body. The volume it adds in the stomach and intestine during digestion provides more time for absorption of nutrients. It helps promote bowel regularity and avoid constipation.

The importance of fibers in our diet stretches back to the basic knowledge that our body constantly needs “cleaning” and “sweeping” off toxic and other corrosive materials that accumulated during irresponsible eating habits, without the support of fibers in our diet these unwanted materials will trigger long time disease and other chronic illness later on including colon cancer. Fiber rich foods help lower blood cholesterol level because they are relatively low in fats and high in nutrients, it has also a high tendency in treating obesity and diabetes.

However, health professionals warned the public that too much fibers is not also good for the body because it can affect the absorption of some important minerals like iron, calcium and zinc, they recommended at least 25-30 grams per day instead.

Dietary fibers can be obtained from consuming oat bran, oatmeal, beans, peas, rice bran (brown rice has more fiber content compared to white processed rice), fruits and leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables contained higher fibers when consumed unpeeled. Whole fruits have higher value of fibers compared to fruit juices. Fibers cannot be found in meat and other meat products.

Fiber rich foods are very important to person who wanted to eliminate extra pounds in their body, it has the capacity to remove fats and control calories and absorbed more nutrients essential in maintaining healthy diet. It is a crucial step to consider taking fiber first before putting your body in a strict exercise regimen.
