INTIMATE CONVERSATION
Tell us something about yourself
I can be quiet, I can be loud, I can be very outspoken. I can be sociable other times withdrawn. I am very sentimental, sad movies and talking heart to heart to the people close to me can make me cry. Very hard to please, oftentimes my stubbornness can be so tough others find it difficult to handle. I guess I was born with a fiercely, rancorous attitude that sometimes raptures my sweet side. But on the other hand, I have this very soft character that often gives me a hard time realizing I did something unreasonable just to please somebody. When it comes to work, that’s it, I gotta do what I wanted to do, no matter what my mood is, I have to do the best I can.

Tell us something we didn’t heard about you
I don’t drink softdrinks anymore and made it a point to minimize meat in my routine meal. I once adored international tennis sensation Michael Chang. I’m a big movie buff, I loved watching horror films and admired Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman. I’m a huge fan of soccer and equestrian games, though didn’t know the technicalities of those sports (hehehe!). During Olympics, aside from equestrian and gymnastic events, I glued on synchronize swimming. For so long in my life I fought hard with my stammering habit but to no avail, it remains a liability to myself which for the past years became an agony, the dreadful nervousness that clouded my inner self forced my tongue to stutter, which is disgusting.

Stuff in your pouch & wallet
A prayer pocket, atm cards, cellphone, toothbrush kit, hairbrush, rubbing alcohol, cologne, face powder, ballpen and a small journal.

If you come face to face with a famous personality in the world who would it be and why?
Prince William..I’ve always been fascinated with monarchy and meeting him in person is just like a grand treat for a lifetime. I wanted to know how it was to feel being the eldest son of the most famous and glamorous woman in the world and eventually losing her at such a young age. His preparation for his future role as King of the United Kingdom and how he handles the pomp and pageantry of being royalty.

If you could sing just one song for the rest of your life, what would it be & why?
“EASY” by Faith no more. I’ve read the lyrics and there’s nothing sentimental or meaningful in it, but I loved the melody, it’s like walking in a countryside at autumn season, fresh, innocent and yet extraordinary. The line in the song that goes: “that’s why, I’m easy, easy like sunday morning”, was so amazing, It feels like I was transported to an english countryside with a beautiful landscape of heather & daffodils, it was simply great to hear the soothing melody.

If you could put lyrics in a song describing your love story, what song would it be and why?
I have no love story to tell but if it will todescribe my love life’s confusing and mind bugging situation, it should be”For the First time” by Kenny Loggins. The song tells about the love you feel towards a person whom you know all your life and yet you only notice his existence at that particular moment when the relationship grows from simply plain friendship to something deeper. Here’s the full lyrics of the song.
Are those your eyes, is that your smile
I’ve been lookin at you forever
But I never saw you before
Are these your hands holdin’ mine
Now I wonder how I could of been so blind
For the first time I am looking in your eyes
For the first time I’m seein’ who you are
I can’t believe how much I see
When you’re lookin back at me
Now I understand why love is…….
Love is…..for the first time…..
Can this be real, can this be true
Am I the person I was this morning
And are you the same you
It’s all so strange how can it be
All along this love was right in front of me
For the first time I am looking in your eyes
For the first time I’m seein who you are
I can’t believe how much I see
When you’re lookin back at me
Now I understand why love is…….
Love is…..for the first time…..
Such a long time ago
I had given up on findin’ this emotion..ever again
But you live with me now
Yes I’ve found you some how
And I’VE never been so sure
And for the first time I am looking in your eyes
For the first time I’m seein’ who you are
Can’t believe how much I see
When you’re lookin back at me
Now I understand why love is…….
Love is…..for the first time…..

What is your favorite movie punchline and why?
The line uttered by Leonardo DiCaprio from the movie Titanic: “Look, I know how the world works on, I’ve 10 bucks left in my pocket and I’ve nothing else to offer you and I know that, but I’m too involved now Rose, you jump, I jump, remember? I cannot turn my back without knowing that you’re okay”. It was one of the most memorable lines I’ve ever heard in a movie, after hearing those words, you’ve got to convince and believe yourself that there’s still such a thing as true, eternal and sacrificing love that knows no bound, that there’s still someone, somewhere in this world who is ready to slay a dragon for you, so to speak.

If you have a chance to time travel what era would you like to go back and why?
Medieval times because the world was so innocent then, you cannot feel any complication. The King Arthur era called The Camelot (if it really existed). I wanted to go back to the times where you can roam around the streets at night without the fear of being rape or rob.

If you have to tour around the world, where would you like to be and why?
Europe. The continent is simply ethralling and amazing.

What landmark or wonders of the world awe you most and why?
Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England. Isaw this landmark in “Shanghai Knights” movie topbilled by Jackie Chan and OwenWilson. It remained the most astonishing pre-historic sites in the world. Thebreathtaking views surrounding Salisbury plain were so great you can feel thevalue of inner freedom (at least in my own opinion..hehehe)

For you, what is the most romantic place on earth and why?
Monaco. The splendid tiny principality of theGrimaldis southwest of France is romantic and its beautiful scenery are bothsuperb and exhilarating.
If you have a chance to live other than ourcountry, where should it be and why?
Scotland. Scottish highlands are captivating, the rocky landscapes andthe lochs in nearby lowlands are relaxing. This British isle is often thelocation of fairytale scenes of hollywood films because of its romantic settingand regal history.

What is your own concept of happiness?
Self-satisfaction and contentment. If you’re satisfied with what’s happening around and you are contented with in yourself, and your heart and mind is at peace then that’s what happiness is all about.

What is your greatest frustration?
Wasn’t able to see Pope John Paul II and Princess Diana in person when they were still alive.

Personalities you admired most?
The late Pope, John Paul II and the late Princess of Wales, Diana. They were the true crusaders of compassion, humanity and effort for world peace and fairness. I admire their strength, their humility and devotion to help the poorest of the poor. It is just frustrating to note that they’re now gone, but their legacy lives on and their legend forever carved in the memories of those who loved and adored them, including myself. May they rest in peace.

If you have to write your own biography/memoir what will be your appropriate title?
“The Other Side of Happiness”. Because the title itself summarizes my struggle, the rejection I felt and all my frustrations, longings and failed dreams. The deeper meaning of that phrase is that, though I experience emptiness and loneliness at times, there’s still beautiful things on the other side of the road that I must consider and a lot of things to thankful for.

What is your favorite place in the house?
The bedroom. it’s like a sanctuary to me because it’s where I can find peace of mind and entertain thoughts about the future. I can concentrate on my writings and read books free from intruders.

Your favorite Hang-outs?
None. I’m a homebody, I just loved staying at home and do all my writings. A house is like a paradise to me because I felt real freedom, free to move, free to sing, free to laugh, everything. I loved tidying my room also, a clean surrounding gives me inner peace.

What is your beauty regimen?
After washing my face with water and mild soap, I put on exfoliating and rejuvenating creams, because my face is oily, sometimes I rub a small amount of concentrated mineral drops. I alternately cleanse my face with Celeteque toner. I take vitamins for healty skin and body cells. I do brisk walk twice a week for 30 minutes. I am vain but not out of vanity, I just want to feel good about myself and nothing else. For my skin, I try to put on daily lotion all over my body to maintain its suppleness and avoid eating fatty foods. I never used soap, because it’s so harsh that sometimes can dry up skin, I just cleanse my body with yogurt & milk body wash when I take a bath.

How do you describe yourself in one word?
STUBBORN. My ram & tiger character is so evident that sometimes I stupidly refused to take orders. It is one of the common reasons why I have no intention to work forever in an employer/employee based company and plan instead to establish my self in a career where I could be my self and can freely move and act as I please.

How do you define love in a single word?
SACRIFICE. Love remains the most awesome gift from God that when you caught the web of that feeling you have the capacity to transform from natural to simply supernatural and from normal to being stupid, but it takes strong veins to hold the raging emotions together, it can make or break your inner self, it really takes a lot of wisdom to comprehend perfectly this phenomenon (I should say) and when you find yourself in the midst of nowhere clinging to the strangeness of that particular emotions, it needs pounds of sacrifices to keep your self from crumbling.

How do you see yourself 10 years from now?
A successful writer. I plan to venture into publishing and screenwriting business. Independent films now a days are slowly carving its own niche in the movie industry and that’s what I intended to do in the future. Right now I plan to join a writing workshop to hone further my writing skills and eventually study filmmaking. Hopefully I can get married and have kids (hehehe!). At this point in time, I am enjoying my freedom and busy gathering informations and stories for my future projects and plans.

What is your guiding principle in life?
Don’t rush into anything, life is a journey and it is always a welcome ritual to take a look on the surroundings and see beautiful things, everyday offers new hope and the more mysterious the circumstances the more it gives life to our dreams.

Who is Your ideal date?
Somebody who has a great passion towards life, an interesting person with good views and delicious humor, drivingly ambitious but not too boisterous. My ideal place for a date, well, something close to nature, I prefer walking in a beach and have a long conversation.

What is your great escape?
Movies. It allows me to dream big things and marvel at the big screen without being pressured with what it would be like to go home without a husband. Movies give me an opportunity to live in a different world away from the chaos of the real world I am currently in.

What is your greatest dream?
When I was still a young girl I dreamed to build a house near the beach with lots of glass windows, but now I wanted to build a house in a farm with a beautiful landscape and surrounded by a fruit orchard and organic veggies. It’s a wonderful thing being close to nature, the scenic environment of the countryside fascinates me, it’s a good feeling facing the sunrise everyday and retiring to the foyer of the house with the sight of the dramatic sunset slowly fading the horizon. The soft breeze of the air carries an innocent delight from with in.

Your views on marriage?
A lifetime commitment and a partnership. A binding union where you have to treat each other not just partners but friends as well, that’s why I wanted to end up with somebody who had been a friend for a longest time rather than a total stranger. It’s good to wake up in the morning having someone looking at you and sharing a meal with good and silly conversations and have a hearty laugh together.

What is your ideal wedding day?
Just a simple and private ceremony with only closest relatives and friends are invited. 20 guests will do and I want to keep it solemn as much as possible and it should not be financially challenging (I always say that P30,000 budget is enough.hehehe!), I hate hotel reception, a marquee setting at sunset will be a great option. I don’t like sentimental gatherings, because it is so awkward to see other people cry just because you’re married.

Your ideal partner should be?
Somebody who will be very proud of me, supportive, a good provider and level-headed, a simple guy whom I can spend the rest of my life, watching the sunset together. Oh I hope he is a non-smoker because I hate cigarettes.(hehehe)
